Since tomorrow is Christmas – Merry Christmas Eve!! – I figured I would make some special cookies for you. When I say I made them I mean my husband made them and I’m taking credit. I intended to post slutty cookies a few weeks ago but didn’t get pictures taken before they were gobbled up. So we decided on round 2 but used festive Oreo’s with red centers instead of white. So… surprise! How to make cookies the slutty way – Christmas edition!
If you haven’t checked out my slutty brownies then hop on over HERE and take a gander! I wrote all about my inspiration for slutty themed desserts in the brownie post. Not to mention that my slutty brownies is one of the highest rated recipes here at That One Birch.
Getting back to the slutty cookies… these came out amazing! Although they take the shape of UFO’s, they taste great. The recipe for slutty cookies is so freaking simple anyone can make them. Don’t like the name? Call them something different if you’re going to be making them with children. Silly Cookies would be a great name for them as well! What makes ‘slutty’ desserts so great is the funny name. Tell people you’re making slutty cookies and you’re going to pique their interest.
A slutty cookie is an oreo wrapped up in chocolate chip cookie dough. Or sugar cookie dough. Or snickerdoodle dough. Take your pick! We used chocolate chip cookie dough because the chocolate chips make it feel more sinful and my husband loves chocolate chip cookies. Let’s be honest… I’m not a dessert person so these were for my husband more than me. Since the oreo is baked inside of the cookie dough they come out soft and melt in your mouth.
So what do you need to make slutty cookies? I’ll tell you!
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
- Greased up baking sheet
- Wax paper
- Preheat your oven at 350 degrees.
- Use wax paper to prepare your oreos and dough so they won't stick to the surface area.
- Take a small amount of cookie dough and wrap it around an oreo. Make sure that you're only using enough to cover the entire oreo.
- Place the prepared cookies on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake 11-15 minutes. (11 minutes is gooey soft cookies. 15 minutes for tougher cookies.)
