Clown sightings all across the country have had people on edge for the last couple of weeks. These fiends with brightly colored wigs and painted faces are posing threats, beating people up, attempting to lure children into the woods and showing up at people’s homes. Except is it really happening or is it all just one elaborate hoax?
Multiple sightings have been called into the police but from the sound of it the majority of them have been false. A woman was caught lying about being attacked by a clown and is now being charged. Seriously, why in the hell would you do that? It takes a special kind of person to call the police to falsely accuse a freaking clown of attacking you. Other false claims have been made as well!
Numerous false claims of clown sightings have been called into the police leading to charges being brought on multiple people. How stupid are people? Are claims being made for the sake of being put into the public’s eye?
Children are claiming that clowns are attempting to lure them into the woods with money. Okay, let’s take a moment and say that this is true. None of these clowns have been confirmed by the police so it’s all a matter of what children are saying. IF this is happening, not a single child has actually been taken into the woods by one of these clowns. That means that the parents are doing their job of teaching ‘Stranger Danger’ to their children. Props go out to you, parents!
However, if these are all just false accusations made by children trying to start rumors… well, parents, your kids have turned into freaking liars. Might be time to teach them that lying is bad, mmmkay? I’m not accusing the parents for being at fault for lying children. Just like everyone else, when children are put into a group of their peers they tend to go with the flow.
Remember: A person is smart. A group of people are dumb.
Let’s move on!
A teenager wearing a clown mask on their head was fatally stabbed. Let that sink in. A teenager died because of this awful “fad” that is going around. Schools are going on lockdown due to threats being called in regarding clowns that want to harm children. Social media accounts have been made with pictures of clowns and threats being made. Arrests have been made because these lunatics think this is okay.
This is not okay.
Clowns are scary enough without these threats being made. When your sense of security at home or at school is gone you’ll want to protect yourself by any means necessary. If a clown is standing on your front porch you’re more likely to grab the closest weapon you can find and take care of it yourself. Whether this is suppose to be a prank or it is real the best advice I can give is to be careful. I am very fortunate to live on a military base. No clowns would dare walk down the streets in my neighborhood. Surely half of my neighbors have personal guns not to mention their combat training.
Bring it, clowns! You will get messed up! Homey don’t play that.
Reading news articles regarding the situation there are some interesting theories out there about why this is happening. Early on there was someone who got caught and explained they were creating a horror film for Halloween. That’s cool and all, whatever, but that doesn’t explain the clown-demic we’re faced with. Recall two years ago when Slender Man became a major fad? Two teenaged girls lured a third girl into the woods and stabbed her 19 times to “impress” Slender Man. The girl survived but this goes to show you how a craze can get out of control.
This must be a fad.
People are jumping onto the bandwagon trying to create a stir. The White House has even been asked about this mad fad.
So what do we do?
The better question to ask is what can we do? Hide yo’ kids, hide yo’ wife. Stay inside and hope it all goes away? Move to Canada? Whatever the solution it needs to be fixed fast. Halloween is right around the corner. How many clowns will be harmed on Halloween just for wearing a costume? How many others will be harmed for thinking a clown is just wearing a costume? It would be best not to let anyone you know dress up with a rainbow wig this year. Seems like social media has already proven that people are going to be on high alert for clowns at their doors this Halloween. So let’s try to have a safe Halloween and keep away from the evil clowns.
